You cannot see my transformation ..... but that do You cannot see my transformation ..... but that doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Of course transformations photos have their place and their purpose. They can be super motivating but they aren't for me.

I want to remind you that for some people they may not always see their transformation.

This is true for me.

When I started weight training it wasn’t for weight loss or to change my body.

It’s because I wanted to feel differently about myself, stop getting injured and have some release from the anxiety I felt on a daily basis.

Through educating myself, investing in coaching and surrounding myself with a great environment I completely changed how I felt about myself.

I no longer hated how I looked in the mirror or felt weak and exhausted.

Gradually over time I started to feel stronger, more empowered and started to be more confident.

It taught me that there was a different way.

A way that didn’t involve punishment, restrictions and guilt every single time I took a step wrong.

There’s another way. Through strength training and fitness I found my freedom. Found my purpose and my confidence.

Remember everyone has a different journey and you can find the right one for you.

There is a good reason I will not coach friends and family. They are too close! I am not going to challenge them as much as I would and they are less likely to be honest with me.

I’m not even going to mention the times my fiancé @backstage_pilot and I spent together in the gym. I’m pretty sure we have a very public argument about squats lol.

Having an accountability or support group can be essential in making that change you really want to.

Don't get me wrong, sometimes a partner/friend/family member can be exactly what you need and it can work brilliantly.

However, often it doesn’t. Then you are left feeling frustrated and disappointed. This isn't your fault and it isn't their fault. It just wasn’t the right dynamic for what you needed.

What works best?

Having a coach/expert guide you through the process. They are there to ensure your success! In my case my clients success means more to me than it does to them! So I will do everything in my power to help get them there.

Not something feasible for you at the moment?

Don’t worry there are loads of great support tools out there to help you. I’d recommend finding something with the same mission/goals as you and starting a support system together where you celebrate each other's wins and share your struggles and keep each other motivated.

If you're looking for some free motivation, support and inspiration I have created a facebook group with this in mind! Join ‘The Zoë Rose Movement’ on Facebook. You will also get access to FREE workouts and Zumba classes.

I am one of the thousands of brides to be that had to postpone a wedding and still has much anxiety about how the wedding this year will look.

There has been so much emotion surrounding this that I have never experienced all at once before; disappointment, sadness, worry, anxiety, anger, frustration, relief, excitement… It really depends on the day with how I am feeling about it all.

Close friends and family will ask tentatively how I’m feeling about it which I will reply ‘Not talking about it.’

I work with my clients daily in how to manage their wellbeing with the situation going on around us. Together we map out habits, techniques and tools that can guide them through challenging times.

For me this past year (like for many others) has been the biggest test for my wellbeing and health! It has also been one of the best learning experiences.

Here are 5 things I have learnt ….

1 - Slow down and appreciate the small things. I have never appreciated my morning cup or tea or coffee as much! I have learnt to find joy in the small things.

2 - Prioritise movement of some kind. It will often make you feel a lot better.

3 - Adapt your schedule. Crying through strength workouts is no one's idea of fun. When I am struggling to deal with my emotions I found running or Zumba more useful. Some clients prefer stretching or yoga.

4 - Take space for you! You are not a machine! It’s okay to rest, cry, worry. You don’t need to keep powering through.

5 - Bedtime routine is EVERYTHING! Really have a solid schedule that helps you wind down at night so you can get the best night sleep you possibly can.
